This Veterans Day, we’ve partnered again with Veterans United to extend our outreach campaign, #MissionZero. The goal? To increase awareness among Veterans about the VA loan benefit – a valuable program that allows U.S. Veterans, active-duty service members, and eligible spouses to purchase a home with zero down payment.
We recently sponsored the NOH8 Campaign at the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance’s National Conference, held September 25-27, 2024 at Resorts World in Las Vegas. The event brought together real estate professionals and allies to advance the fight against discrimination and promote equality in the housing industry. The Alliance, which has more than 4,000 members, is one of the largest LGBTQ+ trade organizations in the nation.
Lauren T., Customer Success Advisor, has faced many challenges in her life, head-on. Homeless from the age of 18 through 27, Lauren is now a dedicated single mom and a Certified Peer Support Specialist in her spare time. She feels especially deeply about the work she does at Realtor.com—and how it intersects her own history. “As someone who went from living in a tent to now having an apartment that I call home, I see it as my mission to make this process as smooth and empowering as possible for agents and the home buyers,” she said. This October, as we honor Disability Education Month by raising awareness about both visible and invisible disabilities, we sat down with Lauren to learn more.
Cheers to Maria Dalarcao, Software Engineering Manager, for her inclusion on Women Impact Tech’s Women of Impact Honorees list for 2025! These talented individuals have been chosen for “surpassing expectations; actively advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and championing gender equity in the technical field, all while paving the way for the next generation of women to excel.”
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we asked several members of Realtor.com’s Hispanic community to share their personal stories and reflections on what this time of year means to them.
Interning at Realtor.com is more than just a summer job. It's an opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, benefit from mentorship within a supportive team environment, and grow professionally—all before school starts back up in the fall. Their stories reveal the unique opportunities and collaborative culture that make an internship at Realtor.com the best way to spend summer break.
For Michael Streffery, Realtor.com’s Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Philanthropy (DEIP), working in the DEIP space isn’t just a job. “I’m dedicated to helping make the world a better place,” says Michael, “and I know that in my heart we are all stronger together.” Michael was recently honored as an OnCon Icon Top 50 DEI Professional Award winner, which recognizes DEI professionals across the globe, as voted on by their peers. Since he joined Realtor.com in 2022, we’ve undertaken many noteworthy projects and our DEIP philosophy has strengthened. We sat down with Michael to learn more about the true meaning of DEIP and how it plays a key role in our culture at Realtor.com.
